Bright Care is very different to other care at home providers as we offer visits of at least two hours or more meaning that our companion carers build meaningful, lasting relationships with their clients giving them the practical help and companionship they need.  What is the fundamental good of a care at home business if we cannot deliver long visits and rock solid consistency of care staff.

Additionally, we have strategically chosen to not get involved in contracting with local authorities so we can instead direct all our focus and attention toward delivering tailor-made care arrangements for our customers.  This means we need managers who not only have the skills sets for managing a care service but who can also handle the unique requirements and nuances of our private paying market position.  This can be very different to managing a care business which does a lot of contacting with local authorities.  

We have ambitious plans to expand our business through locally run offices delivering an exceptional standard of care and attention to every family we serve.  Each one of our local offices are run by a smart, professional and highly competent Care Manager who oversees all aspects of the business and really ‘take ownership’ for their respective offices.  In line with our continued growth, we are always happy to hear from people who think they have the right set of skills and attributes for our organisation.

Who And What Are We Looking For?

Knowledge/Experience Skills And Abilities

Candidates will have lots of relevant experience and thorough knowledge of the responsibilities associated with managing a care service for older people.  The manager will be able to draw on experience and intuition to ensure they are hiring only the very best people for the care sector – staff who share in our love of seeing older people beautifully cared for within their own homes on their own terms.  Strong leadership and management skills are essential as they will build a loyal team around them, which they can trust and depend upon to work with them in delivering exceptional quality care.

The manager will use their excellent relationship building skills to effectively communicate with care staff, clients and their families and other professionals. You must have experience of working and leading teams within a social care setting and be qualified to a minimum of SVQ level 3 in social care or equivalent. The manager will also be able to demonstrate evidence of having successfully grown and developed services in the past and show they have the business acumen and ability to guide the service through continual growth, development and improvement.  A proven track record in driving sales growth in a previous organisation is essential for success in this role.
